Compeer(Buffalo, NY) – Compeer of Greater Buffalo, the only organization in Western New York dedicated to recovery through the healing power of friendship, announced today the hiring of Timothy M. Boling, CFRE as its new Executive Director. Mr. Boling will succeed long time founder and current executive director, Michele Brown who retires at the end of this year.

“Mr. Boling brings a wealth of leadership and development experience to the organization as well as a solid track record in taking non profit organizations to the next level of development,” stated Michael P. McMahon, Senior Vice President with Key Bank and Chairman of the Compeer Board. “Finding someone to take the reigns from Michele was no easy task and after an extensive national search we are so pleased to welcome Tim to the Compeer Family.”

One of the major initiatives that Boling will see through is the merger of Compeer of Greater Buffalo with Compeer Inc., encompassing more than 50 chapters worldwide. This merger brings the Compeer Buffalo Chapter full circle as when it was founded in 1985 by Brown, it was originally under the auspices of Compeer Inc.

“It is truly exciting and an honor to be joining the Compeer family. The Board’s confidence in my leadership is humbling. I look forward to introducing the many business and philanthropic friends that I have made in the community to the transformative work that Compeer is doing in our community.”

Boling officially joins the organization effective October 3, 2016 and will work closely with Brown on a transition plan.
